Scheduling and follow-up

The patient page

What the patient receives, what they can do, and how their access is protected.

The patient receives a link to their own page: their plan in 3D, the run of appointments, their upcoming visits, and, depending on your settings, the quote and payment.

A faithful preview

At that address everyone sees the same thing, including you. There is no dentist version of the patient page: your preview is exactly what the patient is looking at, down to the comma.

Access

The patient enters the email or phone number on their record, receives a one-time code, then accepts the data-protection notice on first access.

The screen never reveals anything: the message is identical whether the contact matches or not, and whether the plan exists or not. Nothing can be guessed by trying addresses.

What the patient can do

  • Accept the plan, which moves it to accepted on your side.
  • Answer an appointment with "I will be there" or "I cannot make it".
  • Pay, if you enabled payment.

What you show

Whether the quote and payment appear is set from the sequence Patient tab, and that setting belongs to the plan: it does not depend on the link you sent, so an old link cannot bypass your choice.

Sending

The share dialog shows you the email exactly as the patient will receive it, sender included, and lets you edit the subject and the body. You can add several recipients, a parent for instance; every address you add becomes authorized for the code flow.
